I probably also forgot to say that if I owned a nice little production company I'd have already snatched up the movie adaptation rights from you. This seriously deserves a good adaptation (and then a series).
You know I've been wracking my poor brain for the last like six or seven episodes trying to remember who the actor is that I kept picturing (and hearing, for that matter) for Muldoon. Part of me thought it was someone who played Rebus, then I looked that up and no, I don't think it was him. It got totally frustrating not being able to remember. I did another speculative search just now and I think it might have been Anton Lesser, who I remember doing the voice for radio 4's adaptations of Falco (the Roman detective). Or maybe it's a kind of amalgamation of something like him plus Rebus or similar. There's definitely the gritty element going on though. Which obviously fits perfectly with the late Victorian setting. So idk, someone like that anyhow!
If it's not Anton Lesser then it'll definitely pop into my head at some point. Problem is I don't really watch TV anymore so it's getting a little difficult...
I'm so so happy that Mary and Maggie were at the funeral and Muldoon and Frances got to see them happy, instead of distressed. I absolutely LOVED all of the ghostly scenes - they were the cherry on top of an intensely satisfying mystery thriller cake!
I honestly did not see it coming that Ellman Jr was literally living in the walls - EWWWW! But I loved that twist!
Now that was an immensely satisfying ending. The whole story was immensely satisfying but I do love a good ending.
And the epilogue was great. The vampire was a very nice touch. I like that sense of humour!
Thank you very much for sharing this with us, Hanna. I enjoyed every minute of it. Please write another one!!!
Thank you, Evelyn ❤️ I've loved sharing this with you.

Haha, wouldn't that be wonderful? Who would you want to play Muldoon?

You are utterly fabulous!
Fantastic story, Hanna, and that epilogue! Brilliant! Can’t wait for the next Muldoon mystery!
I'm sorry this book came to an end! Well done! I hope it sells like pancakes, as we say here in the States!
This was remarkable Hannah, quite enjoyable, thank you!
