Hannah, if you have not done so already, please submit this to the Lunar Awards and Top In Fiction. I think more people should have the chance to read it. :-)
Fantastic story! I can't say I blame the shabti for trying for her freedom, but I'm for Felicity all the way! The things that come attached to artefacts...makes you want to exorcise any antiques you might pick up!
this would have made an excellent Hammer Horror film in the style of those classics where Peter Laurie or Christopher Lee played Ekland and Ingrid Pitt played Femi. I think the story signposted exavtly where it was going but it was told very well! 😀
I knew that shabti would figure in the plot somehow. Striking ending to the story. There is a blessing embedded in everything, even the destruction of a rare artifact.

Ahh, didn't think of that. Thanks, Natalie!
I would most assuredly nominate this for a lunar award. It's a good story.
Thanks, Joseph! Also, huge thank you for sharing it with TiF.
Well done! Thank you.
Thank you Lyndsey! Means a lot.
Your story has a very natural flow. I love it when there is a plot that is historically placed with an unexpected uncanny/supernatural twist.
Very well written, Hanna. I like your style and the details you use to describe the surrounding. Thank you for the story!
Thank you, Sergej.
Nicely done. I can see it becoming a novel.
Don't tempt me! There's a queue for novels 😂
Really great read! Nicely done 😊🫶🏼✨
Thanks so much, Tracy. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it.

Thanks Liz. Haha, yes we focus on the houses or the buildings but never the things!

Haha, yes, not much mystery but that's all right! Thanks, Nick.
ive never heard of a shabti so that was fascinating. Ancient Egypt always intriguing!
This one kept my attention! It was very visual. Well done!
Thank you, Richard.
This is so very well done! It pulled me in and kept me reading. I agree with those saying this is Lunar Awards piece. I’d vote for it.
Thanks so much, Caro. I really appreciate the encouragement.
Excellent story

That would be pretty good, wouldn't it? I even had an idea for a novel on the back of this to be perfectly honest 😅 all about Frank's disappearance.
