Worse than the fictional thing, eh? 😄 I remember an episode of Jonathan Creek featuring drowned bodies. I didn't get a bath for weeks---I stayed safe in the shower. Well, it's safe as long as Norman Bates isn't around...
Mommy never left. Clever use of the suitcase to seal the ending, Hanna. The description of Jenny Greenteeth kind of grossed me out. There was a boy in grade school who had green teeth. We all thought it was because he ate grass.
We never had any evidence other than his teeth. It was just speculation on our part. Looking back on it, he probably hadn’t had his teeth cleaned in a long time. Congratulations on the successful sales of your books. Quite a feat, Hanna.
Sometimes the stories have been cooking awhile, even without consciously focusing on them and they come out whole. I’ve had it happen. It’s an odd thing, but also should reassure you that the stories are waiting for you!
oof that ending!!

Do you think he did eat grass? I know it stains clothes etc. Hadn't thought of teeth.

The suitcase!
😅 the horror of it!
I guess he was no catch. Great story, Hanna!
Thanks Richard.
Oh my...this is fantastic!
It will never not baffle me how the things I write in a quick blitz the day before do well. Thanks, Lyndsey. I enjoyed writing this one.
No time to overthink it!
Maybe that's the problem. Too much time can kill a good story!

Excellent!
Thank you. I appreciate the Liz-shaped endorsement.
I began to get concerned about the end as it got nearer but it was still a shock!
hahaha. Twists. I love a twist. Thank you for reading.
Fabulous:)
Thank you, Sarah.
What a fiction piece!
Great story, great atmosphere. Quibble: What was once an old-fashioned.
An old-fashioned what?
Apart from that, perfect.
An old fashioned is a classic whiskey cocktail, Wendy. Thanks for reading!
Thank you. Note to self: get ingredients for this.
I love the fact that I never see your endings coming! 😀
😅 I think I saw my husband recoil when I said how the ending was going to be.
😂
