Flash fiction Friday

and the first short story challenge is complete!

Hi everyone! Yesterday (11th April) was the deadline for the first challenge of the Gibberish writing competition, so I have it to share with you below. I usually publish flash fiction on a Friday but there’s plenty to share with you today without Yours Truly getting a case of burnout.

Oh hang on a minute- I do have some flash fiction!

Ok so the short story I wrote for The

Gibberish

writing competition isn’t flash fiction but Winthrop hall is and that’s technically on the longer side but it still counts (because there are no rules here!).

The challenge for this week was “depict a chase” and it was lots of fun. That’s week one down and there are two more challenges to go. I hope you enjoy what comes of this! If you have a minute, I’d love to know what you thought of it.

(I would have scheduled it to go out in today’s newsletter but it didn’t fit with the competition deadline.)

For the romantics out there.

I wrote this piece for Thorny Thursday. I don’t usually write romance but gothic romance? I gave it a go with this retelling of beauty and the beast. Enjoy.
