Prospero: Still relatable 400 years on?
A discussion with Dr Rebekah King.
This week I caught up with Rebekah King to talk all things Prospero because as Barbara Dickson and Elaine Paige would attest, we know him so well.
We talked about his relevancy even to today’s world as well as the significance of science fiction and the cautionary tale. This was a fascinating chat and I hope you enjoy our discussion.
Rebekah has developed an adaptation of The Tempest which will be performed on The Golden Hind in London this September. At the bottom of this page you’ll find more details about the production and of course, where to buy tickets.
Oceanus, my science fiction thriller loosely inspired by The Tempest is coming to online bookstores on 19th June 2026 as a second edition with Tiny Worlds publishing.
Information and tickets for The Tempest Aboard The Golden Hinde can be found here.
