Man and Wife
A 100 word fable
Once upon a time, there was a man and his wife.
The wife, being smaller, weaker and not as intelligent as the man, didn’t speak unless she was spoken to.
One day, when they were out walking, he fell into a mud pit. “Wife! Help me!” he called, waving his arms in panic.
“I am weak. I cannot lift you.”
“Find a branch.”
“I am small, I cannot reach up to the tree.”
“Think of something!” he cried, sinking deeper into the pit.
She reached for her handkerchief and waved it. “I cannot think, my dear. I am a woman.”

Fabulous! But I am a mere woman, so I should not be able to write this comment.
Very fun. Reminds me of the decameron
