Oceanus has 9 chapters left to go on Substack. Can you believe it? Every week, someone tunes in to have a look at it. I published the first 5 chapters 4 months ago and I’ve learned so much along the way.
The chapters that you see here on Substack are not the final edits. This manuscript is about to go through final (merciless) edits and proofreading before publication.
If you haven’t seen this already (you’re not getting away), I’ve launched a couple of promotional videos and images to help get the word out.
This is the final book cover for publication.
You can pre-order your e-book of Oceanus on amazon today. If you’re waiting for the paperback or hardback, mark the 6th September 2024 in your calendars!
Thank you so much to those who have already pre-ordered, added it to their list or shared the link, or just left a lovely supportive comment on the posts I’ve written. Your support has been amazing.
When I set out to write a novel, publishing it as a weekly serial on Substack was an experiment. I didn’t know anybody here, I didn’t have a fiction following from elsewhere, and I didn’t know what to expect. I’d never written a book before! Substack made me do it, but you made it worth seeing it through. I was no longer just publishing for myself. I felt that I had to turn up each week and give readers what they wanted. Substack has therefore been a really positive influence on my work.
There’s not much fiction from me today because since launching the pre-order, the book is all I can think about! I did however, write this microhorror earlier this week. I hope you like it.
Congrats! My list of books to get from my Substack peeps is growing.
Congratulations!! Oceanus has been on my (very long 😅) TBR list for quite a while, and I’ll have to add the physical book to my list as well!
